The Community Based Disaster Management Toolkit

Petra started developing the innovative Community Based Disaster Management Toolkit after her involvement with the terrible Bali bombings in 2002.
The
inspiration to create the kit came from the direct experience working
as part the volunteer relief team at the time of the disaster. That
experience made it clear that information on how communities can manage disasters was very much needed.
The
first edition was developed with support from USAID and following
versions have had inputs from dozens of local and international experts
and other supporters.
